Networking and Port Allocations
The Network tab shows the IP address and port (or ports) your server is reachable on — this is what you hand out to players, and it’s also where you’d add more ports for things like a proxy or a secondary service alongside your main server.
Your Primary Allocation
Every server comes with one allocation by default, shown as a card with a hostname, a port, an editable Notes field (handy for labeling what a port is used for once you have more than one), and a Primary badge. This is the address from Connecting to Your Server, and it’s also what’s written into server-port (Bedrock) or server-port/server-portv6 (Java) in server.properties — the panel and the config file are kept in sync automatically, so you shouldn’t need to edit the port there directly.
Adding Allocations
Some setups need more than one port — for example, running a proxy (BungeeCord/Velocity/Waterdrop) in front of multiple backend servers, where the proxy needs its own port separate from each backend. This is self-service: click Create Allocation and a new port is assigned instantly from the page — no waiting on support. The counter above the button (“using X of Y allowed allocations”) shows how many your plan allows.
Each non-primary allocation gets a trash icon to delete it (with a confirmation prompt first) and a Make Primary button to switch which one your server actually binds to as its main port.
Common Questions
Can I pick a specific port number? No — Create Allocation assigns the next one automatically from the host’s available range, to avoid collisions with other servers on the same machine. You can’t request a specific number.
Does my IP change? Not under normal circumstances. It’s tied to your server, not to any one connection session.
