How to Display Days Played

Bedrock has a dedicated gamerule for this — showdaysplayed — which puts a running day counter on-screen, the same way showcoordinates puts coordinates on-screen. You don’t need to calculate it from world time yourself.

Enabling It

bash
gamerule showdaysplayed true

Run that from the panel’s Terminal tab — no / needed. In-game it’s /gamerule showdaysplayed true, and needs operator permission. The log confirms it:

text
[INFO] Game rule showdaysplayed has been updated to true

Once it’s on, the day count appears on-screen alongside coordinates (if those are also enabled) for every connected player, and updates automatically as time passes. Run the command again with false to turn it off.

Note
This is a world setting shared by everyone on the server, not a per-player one — same as showcoordinates.

Client-Made Worlds

If you’ve ever created a world in the Bedrock app yourself, you may have seen “Show Days Played” as a toggle in the World’s Advanced settings — that’s the same feature, just exposed through the client UI instead of a command. That settings screen doesn’t exist on a dedicated server, so the gamerule command above is the way to turn it on here.

Checking a Specific Day Count Manually

If you just want a one-off answer rather than a permanent on-screen counter, time query day returns the current day count without changing anything:

bash
time query day
