Creating a Database

Most plugins (and vanilla Minecraft itself) are happy storing data in flat files, but some — economy plugins, cross-server data, certain stats/logging tools — need an actual MySQL database. The panel can create one without you touching a database server directly.

Creating One

  1. Go to the Databases tab
  2. Click New Database
  3. Give it a name (the panel prefixes it automatically, e.g. s303_yourname, to keep it unique across the server)
  4. Optionally set Connections From to restrict which hosts can connect — leave it blank to allow connections from anywhere

Your plan includes a limited number of databases — if New Database is greyed out, you’ve hit that limit and would need to remove an unused one first.

Connecting to It

After creation, the panel shows:

  • Endpoint — a combined host:port, e.g. 192.168.7.150:3306
  • Username — generated automatically (u###_...)
  • Connections From — whatever you set above, or % (anywhere) by default

Click the endpoint or username to copy it. Password isn’t shown by default — click the eye icon next to the entry to reveal it.

Drop these straight into whichever plugin’s config.yml asks for MySQL details (EssentialsX, LuckPerms, and most economy plugins all follow the same host/port/username/password/database pattern).

Warning
Deleting a database (the trash icon next to it) asks you to type its full name to confirm — there’s no undo once you do.

Tip
If a plugin can’t connect, double-check the endpoint value first — it’s very rarely localhost in a hosted environment, even though that’s what plugin config examples usually show by default.
